I didn’t know this until today, but I thought the fact was interesting. Did you know that Abraham Lincoln was the only U.S. President who was also a licensed bartender? I think all presidents should be licensed bartenders. Can you imagine how many peace treaty’s could be signed thanks to a couple well mixed martinis?

Pass this little fact on to your friends for an instant “Oh really?” moment. I’m going to emancipate my bottle of Basil Hayden from the liquor cabinet and toast our fine 16th president for his accomplishments.

Anybody know what happened to “Berry?”

Like any office in any home, we have a ton of little parts and pieces that would have no benefit to us if they were floating around in a box, or just scattered about the desk. Shannon “Mustard” came up with a genius free alternative to clutter with this organizational tube setup within one of our bookcases.

The tubes we used were being discarded by a local sign shop. We simply cut them to length and stacked them loosely on one of the shelves. Now we have a pretty sweet storage solution as well as a not-so-ugly bookcase full of useful items.

Wanna give it a try? Let us know what you’re working with and we can get the tubes for you.

It’s Official!

Video production now available from Ketchup+Mustard - Powered by Darkheart Visions

Many of our clients have asked about the option of creating video clips and commercials as a useful tool for advertising and promotions. Up until yesterday, we just gave them a couple names and told them to send us the video when it was done. We are thrilled to announce our exclusive partnership with Darkheart Visions, a uber-creative, very capable video production company in Bellingham.

Why did we agree to this partnership?
Simple. Value-added services are important for us. We want our clients to know that our capabilities don’t end at the print/web design side of advertising and marketing and we want the ability to bleed our design style and copy writing for our own clients into areas where we’re not necessarily “experts.” Partnering with Darkheart Visions will not only allow our clients to expand their marketing efforts; they can do it without having to search out new service providers.
Essentially Ketchup+Mustard Now Offers Video Production! and we have a GREAT production team. (Alternatively, DarkHeart now has a pretty kick ass print and web design team at the ready.)

Check out some of the great work created by Darkheart Visions. These samples are representative of the quality Darkheart can provide. Not representative of copy writing or design by Ketchup+Mustard. Those will come soon!

Whether you had your logo designed by a professional in 1993, or you just did it yourself with Microsoft Publisher, chances are pretty good that it needs a good once over by a modern day design pro.
Think of it like a tuneup for your bike, checking out your furnace, getting your oil changed, etc.
It’s a good idea to ensure that your identity is being showcased in the best possible way.

$35.00 Per Logo //// FLAT RATE

Recreate Your Logo (Using Adobe Illustrator CS5 in a vector format)
Identify Pantone Colors (Consistency is very important)
Export in Multiple Formats (.png, .jpg, .eps, .tif, etc.)

Why should you do this?
Current printers/sign shops prefer high-quality vectorized logos for reproduction. Having this type of file allows them to scale the logo to any size without loss of resolution and create cutting paths for vinyl plotters.
While most printers/sign shops often provide the vectorization service, they usually only create the version that works best for them and they charge their hourly rate for the work. (upwards of $60/hour)

The $35 is good for any logo of varying complexity. Could be super simple, could ridiculously complex. We don’t care, we’ll do it for $35. No questions asked.

Hire us for a year!*

We want to be your contracted production design team!
Think about how awesome it would be to have a design team at your disposal. A design team that has these benefits:

Has a Demonstrated Ability to Create Amazing Artwork! (Our portfolio speaks for itself)
Meets Ridiculous Deadlines! (Need it today?)
Is at your Beckoning Call 24/7! (At the office 8-5, but for you, we work overtime!)
Maintains its Own Equipment! (Always the latest and greatest software/computers. Always on a MAC)
Works as a Liaison Between You and the Printer, Web Host, etc. (We speak the language.)
Answers Emails on the Weekends! (Communication is paramount.)
Does NOT pad their hours. (If it takes an hour, that’s what we charge.)
Works Remarkably Fast. (We are Adobe Pro’s. We work fast which means you pay less!)

Pretty sweet, eh? Now imagine that you could have this design team at half the cost of the hourly rate.
I know, I know, too good to be true. Right?

We love to fill our days with design work and we’re happy to drop our hourly rate for repeat customers.
Just take a look at the testimonial one of our contract customers wrote for us recently.

————————————

“Ketchup+Mustard is AMAZING!!! Often good artists are the ones who can’t quite meet a deadline or they deviate from what is requested, creating more work on both ends. Brian is not one of those artists. He is responsive, meets deadlines, even some of my unrealistic ones, and is an excellent communicator and above all he is a great artist! He takes every vision I have and turns it into a masterpiece…..well as close to a masterpiece as automotive advertising can get. I’m thrilled that Brian is part of my design team as he is a huge asset who makes work fun.”
Molly C. – Full Throttle Marketing. Monterey, CA

Sold on us yet? If you’re interested in learning more about our contract design packages, just shoot us an email.
*Minimum requirements for lowered rate include 3 projects/month, minimum 3 month period (seasonal).
